Dr. Bafitis in his research of proven scientific modalities, has now instituted in his practice the use of Microneedling Collagen Induction Therapy, a minimally invasive cosmetic procedure.
Microneedling and CIT or Collagen Induction Therapy is the system of rolling microneedles that not only induce collagen to be permanently created in the face and other areas of the body but allows specific growth factor solutions to penetrate.
A series of two to three treatments are all that are necessary for significant improvement. Most treatments consist of a monthly microneedling session which provides the patient with a slightly red face for about 12 hours.
This technology is good for Facial Rejuvenation inclusive of fine or deep lines, acne scarring, and general rejuvenation but also for cellulite and for stretch marks and scar improvement.
Dr. Bafitis has researched the very best products for the microneedle infusion and has chosen the Clinical Resolution™ products. Bafitis says this minimally-invasive cosmetic procedure can be an alternative to laser resurfacing in patients not suitable for laser treatment or wishing to have a less invasive procedure.
Microneedling collagen induction therapy can be used alone, or as an adjunct with Ultherapy®; for lifting and tightening of the skin, or after a full facial. The results are more significant and permanent as opposed to a microdermabrasion.
Dr Bafitis has used the Microneedling system before full face Fractional CO2 Laser resurfacing as well as for cellulite and significant body scars.
The techniques have been available in Europe for at least six months and are now available to you through Dr. Bafitis’ medical skin program division.
The new collagen produced by “Collagen Induction Therapy” lasts for a long time, unless the skin is further damaged by sun exposure, smoking, or other external factors. As the skin ages, some of the new collagen will also age. The duration of results vary from person to person but should last for years.
An alternative to standard hair transplantation
Bafitis Plastic Surgery is involved in new pioneering techniques with the use of microneedling infusion of growth factors to the scalp to improve hair density, be it alone or with hair transplantation. The use ofgrowth factors specific for hair growth have been used as well as the use of platelet-rich plasma and/orstem cells. This research is mirrored by significant research done in Europe, which has shown significant improvement over three to four months with density of hair without hair transplantation.
